Currently closed for extension and renovation works

After 4 years of work, the musée d’Arts de Nantes throws itself into the 21st century.

From Courbet to Picasso through Ingres and Chagall, the musée d’Arts reveals the extent of its collections in 2017.
Its rich collection includes dozens of masterpieces as part of its 10,000 exhibits. Established by Napoléon in 1801, it houses an exceptional collection of drawings, sculptures, prints and contemporary installations. Some pieces measure 200m2 while others just 1cm2!
After 4 years of closure and work, it re-opens its doors to 2,000m2 of additional exhibition space, restored facades, a renovated conservatory, a restaurant, a bookshop and an auditorium.

During this renovation work period, temporary exhibitions are programmed throughout the year.
